Haunted Attraction Photography by Christopher Hall

X-Treme Fear  (2009-10-22)
Leatherface and 93.1 The Wolf were at X-Treme Fear this night, so I made sure to get both parties in addition to the attraction. Back to photojournalism mode for a bit. Secretly, I wanted to get the wolf mascot in the same scene as the bloody, killer bunny. The roll reversal would have been humorous, though not, perhaps, fit for a PR campaign.
This year, the attraction boasts a new entryway. It looks nice. The scene extends to three or four rooms, then lets out into the rest of the attraction. I kept with this first area, then visited the last this night. I enjoyed shooting the witch; the colors really complemented the scene. I ended up in the graveyard, shooting some black and white shots. I learned something new: unlike in color photography, as long as I have the flash mounted to the camera to freeze the foreground subject, I can hold the camera for a long exposure and the camera shake will only mess with the background. That's a very important artistic note. I would try to apply it in my photo shoot the next day.
This album is part of Christopher Hall's Haunted Pictures collection.
