As the first night was rained out, this became opening
night. The attraction dried out very well, so do not be afraid to
visit the day after a rain--be afraid for other reasons! Be very
afraid, yell, scream, and run in fright!
The pictures here represent,
perhaps, a quarter or less of the attraction. I took my time at a
few scenes, trying to get the best possible picture I could think of.
Due to this being opening night, customers trickled through, but at a
nice, almost constant pace. My main objective for the night was to
get a variety of pictures of the larger scenes, such as the graveyard
and front. In the end, I had many pictures of the same scene, but
with different lighting, from which to choose. A good variety
indeed. Capturing screaming customers will come when groups go
through at a rate of one or two a minute. There will be time.
Spookywoods has turned out well for this season. You can tell
careful planning and consideration have gone into the scenes, from set,
fright, to costume.
